Why Shea
Nigeria?
Amongst many reasons to buy Shea Nigeria, here are our top four reasons to embrace Shea from the worlds largest exporter – Nigeria
Nigeria's Dominant Share
Nigeria has the largest shea belt in the world. Shea trees grow naturally in about 21 of the 36 states in Nigeria, and Nigeria is recognised as the world’s leading producer of shea nut with a global production of about 45 per cent.
Unique Nigerian Shea Qualities
The kernels contain about 42 to 48 per cent oil, which has tremendous skin care, healing and medicinal properties. The butter is multifunctional, used in food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, as well as in cooking, baking, chocolate making, margarine production, cosmetics, soap, detergents, paints, lubricants, and candles, thanks to its blend of solid fat (stearin) and liquid oil (olein)
Ethical Sourcing Methods
Our shea nut pickers exclusively harvest ripened shea nuts from the ground, ensuring the highest quality nuts for optimal shea butter production. By picking ripened nuts ensures that they have reached full maturity and are less likely to be damaged or infested compared to nuts picked prematurely. Harvesting shea nuts once they have ripened and fallen, allows for a sustainable harvesting practice that minimizes environmental impact and promotes the natural regeneration of shea trees.
Shea Nigeria Business Cluster Approach

Together, we are not only producing high-quality shea products but also fostering a brighter future for all involved in the industry.
